Dumitru Verdianu was born in Moldova in 1954 and received his education in Moldova and in St Petersburg where he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in 1982. After moving to Vienna / Austria he continued his education at the Academy of Fine Arts of Vienna, Masterclass Professor Michelangelo Pistoletto. He has had numerous exhibitions all over the world for example Moscow, Toronto, Vienna, Venice etc. His works can also be found in museums and private collections all over the world. He has been on television in Moldova, Russia, Romania and Austria.
The artist is working in different materials like bronze, stone, wood, graphics and oil.He does monumental works as well as small plastics, paints on canvas, paper, wood etc.
Since 1992 he is dividing his time between Russia and Austria.
