Biography

I graduated from Anglia Ruskin University Cambridge with a Fine Art Degree in 2008. I am an artist living and working in Norfolk England. My artwork is based on my love of classical painting and sculpture. I like to put my own contemporary take on the subjects that old masters have explored in years gone by. I am particularly drawn to drapery, and the way in which material moves, flows, folds and ripples and its close association with the figurative in art. I am interested in the way the two interact with each other. I try to emulate this in my paintings. Many of my works contain a three-dimensional element, which I feel gives them a greater presence.
